FLOATING AUTUMN ZEN in GLENGOWRIE, South Australia for sale

This stunning abstract has a huge amount of visual presence.
Floating Autumn Zen, was inspired by travels in Japan in autumn. The rich, warm colours and variation of tones used on the main forms relate to seasonal leaf colours. This is contrasted strongly against the aqua background - that may suggest a calm pond or the sky.
Overall the image has a calm, meditative mood - but there are some elements of a dream like surrealistic feeling too. Like time standing still.
I have focussed also on the differences in appearance, between the floating shapes - some solid in appearance; others with removed sections. Also their placement to each other and to the rectangular canvas format; provides unity to the whole painting
It was painted on a 75x100x4cms canvas stretcher frame with acrylics. Edges are a mid blue ⁄ aqua to harmonize. Work is signed on lower right edge.
